Screamin' Mopar 318 Engine Project! It includes all parts to build a 318 short block - you'll need cylinder heads, ignition, and an intake to finish it, but I do have some parts for that as well such as valve springs, plugs and wires and can sweeten the deal with an Edelbrock Airgap intake.
I started this project 5 years ago and was not able to finish it, and I am not in a position to do so now. Will trade for a running vehicle with a clean title.
About this engine build:
The engine block is out of a 1990 Dodge Ram W150. It is a late LA block with some Magnum features such as a stock roller cam. All of the parts included were carefully selected specifically for this engine block with upgraded Magnum heads (not included). With the Hughes Engine Steamroller cam, it will be a little high end screamer when done, pushing 300-400hp naturally aspirated with about 10:1 compression.
This lot includes:
1. The engine block, which has been outside, covered, but still has some superficial rust - nothing a hone can't cure. Rod bearings and cam are still in place. (it is inside the garage now)
2. All of the original internals for the engine block (if you want em)
3. KB Hypereutectic Pistons - standard with new Sealed Power rings (was going to use the stock rods)
4. Hughes Engine Steamroller performance cam (biggest lift you can get without modifying the stock heads) See photo for specs.
5. High capacity oil pump and water pump with new hoses & filter
6. Complete Fel-Pro gasket set
7. PAC Racing Double Valve Springs (will require machined heads for proper seating)
8. Blue Streak Spark Plug 8.5mm Wire Set with Bosch Platinum Spark Plugs
9. New main and rod bearings, standard size with bonus plasti-guage
10. New Timing Chain Set
The OEM parts and block are basically free with the lot. You do not need them if you have your own block to build up, but I am not lowing the price if you decline to take them. Price is $2000, but will accept a running vehicle worth the same in trade (depending on what it is).
