These had never been used but they were hanging on a magnetic tool holder for a very long time and they had picked up rust. Someone told me that soaking them in vinegar would take the rust off and it did. It also took off some of the gold color and left what looks like a water mark on them. I didn't try anything else so not sure if that mark would come off. Basically brand new except for the care they have gotten. I live halfway between Lead Hill and Bergman in Arkansas.
