I have a Sony KD-85x85j that the back light went out. I was watching it when it went out.Screen went blank but sound was still working. Red light on bottom flashes 5 times. Reset and hard reset didn;t fix it.
From my research it seems like the back light leds are out.
If you are looking for a project that could cost a couple hundred to fix for a big TV
feel free to contact me.It will require a truck to pick up.
I will leave this post up as long as it remains in my garage.
