Pasture raised Grass finished BEEF. I just dropped off a huge 30 month old Brown Swiss Steer at the butcher weighing 2080-lbs.
$1100 gets you a 1/4 Beef Share.
The last steer I had processed was 1700-lbs and averaged 161-pound 1/4 shares of meat. So I would say each 1/4 of this steer will yield you 160-180 lbs of beef for only $1100. If you're tired of high beef prices, this is the best way to get amazing quality of beef less than grocery store prices (I would challenge you to find a better deal).
My steers get to live great low stress lives and super friendly (literal grass puppies). They get access to lots of nice pasture and woods and eat as they please. They are well cared for and only have one bad day in their life.
You can google it but, Brown Swiss are a dual purpose dairy breed that are known for their solid structure while producing high quality, flavorful, well-marled beef. I know many people get into which cow bred produces the best meat but, I am a firm believer in how the animal was raised and what it ate to produce the end result.
The Steer will be processed in a USDA Inspected facility and will be hung for 21 days, cut and flash frozen. I wanted make things simple and charge a SINGLE flat rate per 1/4 beef, instead of charging $x.xx amount for hanging weight vs $x.xx amount for live weight then $x.xx amount per weight to the butcher fee (etc etc).
