This is Blondie my FFA project! She is a very nice Limousin heifer that has all the right pieces to make someone a great cow.
I’ll be honest I don’t have her exact birth date or a scale on the farm, but these photos were taken this past September when she was really starting to bloom. She’s been a cute standout since she was born, and it shows in her muscle and how she carries herself.
A bit about her:
• The Mother: She’s out of my (pictured last) a big, deep-bodied Limousin that appears to weigh somewhere around 1,500 lbs. If this calf turns out anything like her mom, she’s going to be a powerhouse.
• Build: She’s thick-made with plenty of booth and muscle, but she still looks like a lady. She’s got a clean front end and a super level top.
• Potential: I think she’d excel as a replacement heifer if you’re looking to add some "beef" to your herd, but she’s flashy enough that she could definitely be a show project for a kid this year.
• Condition: She’s in great shape—well-fed, sleek coat, and just a "good-doing" calf that doesn't need to be babied.
She’s a high-quality girl that I’d be happy to keep if didn’t have to make money for my record books for FFA and I weren’t going to college. . If you’re looking for a heifer with a big future, come out and put your eyes on her the photos don't do her justice.
