Located 9 miles SE of Mansfield, MO—4 purebred Kune Kune piglets. (Not registered)
Kune Kunes are the best pig for the homestead and make incredible lard! They’re pasture grazers, so they can take your forested areas and gently turn the soil, getting it ready for new grasses. They do NOT destroy the ground. Their noses aren’t as long, and are turned upwards so they are not able to root the soil like the larger pigs, and can only gently turn it. We have used our pigs in our forest, getting it ready for us to turn it into pastureland for the cows.
Kune Kunes are friendly, docile, and also make great pets. They are slow growers and take a year and a half to two years to be full grown. Our boar is about 300 pounds and our sows range from 150-250.
Our smallest sow is our black one. She was attacked by a juvenile bear when she was 6 months old. And although we lost our boar, who was also attacked, after several months of recuperation and extensive care, she lived, losing one ear and having to learn how to walk again. All of these available piglets belong to her. Her name is Crue, and she is our AMAZING pet pig. 🥰
We have 4 piglets available—2 boys, and 2 girls, already hot wire trained. They were born April 28th. Crue’s babies have been extremely friendly and she actually has three piglets that have become therapy animals. One in Texas, one in Oklahoma, and one in Missouri. 😁
The smaller piglets are not yet weaned and were born May 14th.
We’re asking $80 for each female, and $60 for each male.
