Cherry - Meat Smoking, mild, fairly sweet and fruity. Split quantriple a lot of work for woodcutter, hard to find.
Hickory -- great for BBQ, Smoker (Flaver is sweet to strong with heavy bacon flavor) Cook Out, very hard on machinery & woodcutter to process for consumers. Unseasoned Smokes more than seasoned.
Oak - Excellent source of fuel for heat, campfire, burns hottes seasoned which means sets out in racks for six months to air dry -moisture under 20%, honest woodcutter will show you testing on-site - anything else is not seasoned firewood!
Cedar - Ignites easy, excellent for quick fire and burns hot. Nice smell and crackle to it a "date night" firewood.
Hickory, Oak, Cherry, Cedar, Maple all available TODAY - Seasoned (Moisture below 20% burns hot) or Green (burns slower, more smoke)
