1975 Yamaha XS650B - $6,500

It has a 750cc big bore kit with 9.0:1 pistons that I installed. New cam chain. New clutch including new springs and steel plates. The carburetors have been rebuilt and tuned to perfection. New battery. New solid state voltage regulator. New fork seals. New steering bearings. New tires (less than 1000 miles). New chain and sprockets geared for lower engine rpms at highway speeds. New front brake pads with a rebuilt brake caliper. New front brake master cylinder. Oil was changed less than 100 miles ago and currently runs on Mobil 1, 20w50. It has an aftermarket reed valve breather system and does NOT leak a drop of oil. It is stable at speed, comfortable, predictable and fast. Clean title from the state of Arkansas in my name.
The only two flaws in my opinion are: The original gas tank was too badly rusted out so it was replaced with a gas tank that is cosmetically a bit rough. Rather than repaint it, I opted to keep the original paint and striping scheme in case I wanted it professionally redone later. The interior of the tank has been flawlessly relined. The electric starter clutch often slips so I simply have used the kickstarter. There is not a single time that it has not started on the 1st or second kick.
