C.F. Martin 1970 Model D-35 in very good condition with hardshell case in very good condition, features solid spruce top and East Indian Rosewood back and sides; straight neck, excellent setup, clean and kept in a smoke-free and pet-free environment; frets dressed and new strings installed; this is a fine-sounding Martin Guitar; will sell for cash at $3,450.00 and will consider partial trades for other vintage guitars; designed for huge tone, the D-35's have become increasingly popular, especially these fairly-priced older ones like this example which dates to 1970; the model was introduced in 1965 as an interesting alternative to the popular D-28; the D-35 model utilized scarce supplies of the increasingly limited Brazilian Rosewood (soon replaced by East Indian rosewood) by building a three-piece back and the company was then able to use the smaller pieces they had of the Brazilian wood; this is a very nice fingerpicking guitar suitable for a singer/songwriter; or a great flatpicking instrument for a bluegrass player; this loud "cannon" features what you'd expect from these guitars - warm and healthy tone, constructed with a loud Spruce top and beautiful back and sides; this one comes to you in really great condition with some play wear and no known repairs; the top is in very good condition with a short, straight crack on the lower treble bout that does not go through the wood (see photos); the back and sides are generally clean with some nicely grained Indian Rosewood; the lower back bass bout has a scratch on it as does one spot on the neck; the binding has a nicely-aged yellow/cream appearance; the original Rosewood bridgeplate is present: the neck is comfortable with a medium C profile and features a 1-11/16" nut width (original); the ebony fingerboard is clean as are the frets; the action is low and easy-playing; /

ALSO For sale is my Vinci "Signature" electric guitar, gloss black body and white pickguard; styled like a Fender Strat and includes a maple neck; new strings and fresh setup for a very low but clean action; three pickups and 5-way switch; super clean; will consider trades for other guitars or sell for cash at $200.00.
