For sale is a German made 1967 Framus 5-String Banjo in excellent condition. This banjo has fantastic proprietary hardware including a top-adjustable tension hoop, adjustable heavy-duty tailpiece, heavy bronze tone ring, and an internal mechanism for adjusting the neck angle (string height/action). A fine example of classic quality German engineering.

The neck is dead straight and the banjo is professionally setup with low action (easily adjustable). It also has a newly installed Remo Weatherking head for that classic bluegrass sound.

Tonally this banjo shines for old-school bluegrass. It has that classic bright, twangy, loud arch-top tone made famous by players like Ralph Stanley.

Current Reverb prices range from $500-1,100.
