About Me

I believe dogs are perfect companions created by God! As an animal lover, dog-owner, and retired educator (and substitute) I have enjoyed facilitating therapy pets in school settings and loving/caring for them at my home! The last 30 years has provided many experiences! My sweet 8 year-old 6 lb. toy poodle is a trained therapy dog. We still partner with schools (and have visited nursing homes). Friends and family have trusted me with their beloved animals, too! If your pet needs medication, you can trust I'll administer it. If he or she needs to snuggle, I'll ensure there's snuggle time. Our pets are essential family members! It's my goal to ensure their safety and comfort! Most importantly, that they feel loved! I offer walking, play time, and will assist in giving treats if you are emphasizing specific behaviors. Senior dogs will be given special attention and care as needed. I've been recommended by several friends and family over the years--it was time to allow a great audience the opportunity for me to love on more fur babies! Communication and trust are vital to me. You can have peace of mind knowing that I will love and care for your pet!I'm a retired school principal/teacher and substitute (empty nester, too!). Currently, I'm a writer (having published a children's book about Missouri featuring my dog and I as fictional characters). Due to my cancer journey, I work from home. My house is very quiet, peaceful, and "love" filled! Pet care has filled a "void" of wanting to be with 'non-furry creatures (KIDS! :-) as I love all of God's creations so much! My sweet Finley, a 6 lb rescue, gets along very well with other dogs. My routine allows me to be at home most days and provide ample opportunities for dogs to stay consistent on their schedules. There will be times I might have to leave for an appointment, but I'll block out days in which multiple hours would be needed so that you can be assured I'll be here when you schedule me! It's my goal to form relationships and bonds with your fur baby (and you!)!My yard is fenced and my sweet small toy poodle enjoys companionship! I will care for dogs just as YOU request. It's my goal to keep them on a consistent and regular schedule that correlates to their home schedule so that anxiety is lessened during their stay. My home is quiet and peaceful. My neighborhood is friendly and has ample sidewalks for walks! If your dog sleeps with you, I'll have it sleep with me. If it needs cuddles, I'll provide that! Medication? I'll make sure he/she receives it! Trust, safety, and a loving/caring environment is what I will provide for your precious pet!

About My Services

I offer:

  • Boarding: $40 per night. I'm comfortable taking care of dogs who are: small (1-15 lbs),
  • Doggy Day Care: $35 per day. I'm comfortable taking care of dogs who are: small (1-15 lbs),
