Oreo belongs to a friend who doesnt have time or energy to deal with. And who ex wont let him have his visits with kids because of her controlling nature. And he planning to put the dog down. Oreo deserves better and a chance.
OREO needs a new home. His daddy doesnt have the time he needs between work and his depression Oreo is not getting the attention and time he needs. He just hit about 2yrs old.
Positive; he love cats, gets along with other dogs if there friendly. He knows hand gestures for sit, lay, stay. He been around kids. He working on learning fetch. Ive been working on getting him accustomized to a muzzle. Full of energy loves to play and be petted.
Flaws: He has high anxiety, and energy. He has to warm up to new people. He needs better structure, doesnt like cuddles but loves pets.
Im open to helping introduce and build the trust with a new owner or rescure to ease transaction. I also wish to keep in touch to see how he doing and transitioning. Ive invested a year to try and work on social. (My Bassett Hound is picking fights, and unfortunately I have Narcolepsy so I dont have the energy to give Oreo to burn his energy out)
OREO needs someone who knows how to help socialize make him feel safe takes him a momentto get use to unknown visiters. He loves to be petted he loves to be close but on his terms. He does not like to be held or hugged. He needs someone who will take him on walks and play ball with him for hours.
