Vitrox Auto-Focus 28mm fixed f/4.5 lens in X-Mount. The lens covers a Full-Sized Sensor.
This lens has a USB-C port for updating firmware, the lens is updated to the latest firmware version (V1.0.3 from 2025-04-08).
A tiny body cap lens featuring a built-in retractable lens cover manually operated via toggle switch, a VSM focusing motor, and 6 lenses in 6 groups on a magnetically controlled "sled" for quiet, internal focusing. The lens has Aspherical and ED elements. No manual control and the aperture is fixed at f/4.5.
Includes a bespoke 3D printed adapter that fits snugly over the lens. The adapter has a cutout to access the lens cover toggle and a mounting hole aligned with the center of the lens for mounting any Moment brand, M-Series, Anamorphic lens designed for cell phones.
Includes a Moment 1.55x Anamorphic squeeze lens (M-Series) with lens cap and carry pouch.
This Anamorphic lens has Gold Lens Flare.
Mount the Viltrox, add adapter and Anamorphic lens (ensuring the Anamorphic is aligned level with the sensor.
Film in 3:2 opengate for a 1.5:1 aspect ratio. Desqueeze the footage in your video editor by 1.55x and get a 2.325:1 aspect ratio.
3:2 = 3/2:2/2 = 1.5:1
16:9 = 16/9:9/9 = 1.778:1
This combo = 2.325:1
21:9 = 21/9:9/9 = 2.333:1
Cinemascope = 2.35:1
The human eye won't distinguish between this combo and 21:9 modern ultrawide. With judicious trimming off the top or bottom of the frame you can get true Cinemascope, although it's likely near enough without the hassle.
