Custom CNC machined White Nylon 6 Gear Shift Knob. 7/16-20 NF thread. Designed for Hurst flat or other type gear shift levers with same thread. Thread is recessed deep into the knob. Nylon 6 is impervious to many chemicals but they are not recommended.
Specifications are: spherical diameter 2 1/4", length 3", diameter at bottom 1". Nylon 6 is made as cast bar.
Notes: The threaded portion of the knob is designed to come within 1/8" of breaking out of the top thereby making the assembly as short as possible. This makes the throws between gears very short.
If there is a question about fitment of your lever, take a circle template and see if a 5/8" circle will fit over it for 1 3/4" depth.
NO jam nut is required.
FYI: Many gear shift levers and knobs have a 3/8-16 NC thread.
Both used for short periods of time in my 1963 Corvette.
I use a polished aluminum version of the above knobs in my car with a Hurst straight 9" aluminum shift lever. Feels like a round knob. All knobs are quite heavy so no additional effort in shifting is required.
Both knobs are kept in zip loc bags and stored in a plastic storage tub inside my home.
