NOS Spring, Valve Cover Hold Down for stamped steel or stamped aluminum valve covers. GM PN 385087 (Gr. 0.413). DISCONTINUED. Have 17. Made from heavy gage steel with black oxide finish. Not used on production engines. Originally used for racing applications. Ordered through GM Performance Parts Catalog from a Chevy dealer years ago.

In original GM box of 10 plus extras not boxed. SBC uses 8. Price $26.00/four (unused). Have used 8 on my 1963 Corvette with steel valve covers (witness mark from flat washer over hole). Price $22.00/four.

Notes. 5" OAL, 1/4" bolt hole. Distributes clamping load over a large area to keep from distorting lip on stamped aluminum or steel valve covers. See last photo.

Stored in a larger box and kept inside.

If you want to keep your GM car all GM, these are the only ones. Others are licensed to aftermarket.

Will work on many different stamped valve covers with 1/4" hold down bolts.
