Former Local 1 I.B.E.W. Electrician LFW. Prefer to remain a subcontractor. Started in commercial but as years went by found myself doing residential on the side. Would prefer to knock down a residential job same day as opposed to a commercial project. Fine with replacing receptacles and breakers or running wire for a new addition to slapping a new box in. Enjoy the anesthetic of clean wires no kinks & having all my screws going the same way. Only thing I can't stand other than seeing 4 screws with no uniform whatsoever is residential only Electricians who don't leave a 6 inch courtesy in the box, leaving barely enough give to connect it...absolute monsters. Will work for a contractor or an owner looking to refurb, doesn't matter. Can read prints as well, shockingly not as common as it should be. Have all the tools I'd need & transportation. Can also do smaller trades like tile work or the basics of the bigger ones like plumbing, potentially saving you money by keeping it right here with me. If I don't know how to do something then I'm upfront, here to make $ not impress a stranger. Not licensed simply because I haven't had a reason to become insured.
