We have one of these benches for sale. They are displayed at Whitney's Craftmall on Shephard of the hills by the Imax. Come sit on it and try it out. Very comfortable. You can pay for them there.
Having been a competition shooter in the past, I know what I expect from a quality shooting table. I've built several of these over the years and I have refined this design. These tables are stable and solid with almost no rocking if you have it leveled correctly. I personally like the height of the top and the bottom is perfect for my feet.
Quality built in a professional shop with quality materials. Heavy exterior stain on the wood. Heavy zinc primer and paint on the steel. These are several steps above some 2x4's put together in some ones garage.
The seat section unbolts with 4 bolts to allow the table to be moved. If you do that, you can tip the table on its side and just roll it where ever you need. A single person can load this into a trailer using this method.
The seat is LVL so that it will never cup or chip. The edges have all been rounded over to remove all sharp edges. The steel frame floats separately from the table. This allows you to wiggle around while the table stays stable and solid.
4 independent heavy steel legs with allow you to level the table easily on almost any surface. The legs also raise the wood off of the ground so that it will not rot, and allowing you to weed eat/mow around them. We have some of these that have been outside for 8 years now and the wood is solid. However, if you need to, 10 years down the road, you can easily replace the table part and re-use all of the legs and the bench. This is a quality set up that you will have for life.
I have welded a section of pipe to the top center whole of the table. This prevents shells and small tools from falling down into the void as well as a great spot for a patio umbrellas.
If you want more for a shooting range we can help. Being a fabrication shop, we can also help with custom targets or anything else you might need for your range.
